Darin Brannan, CEO of ClearDATA, Among 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs at 2019 Builders + Innovators Summit
AUSTIN, Texas (October 17, 2019) — Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) is recognizing ClearDATA CEO Darin Brannan as one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2019 at its Builders + Innovators Summit in Santa Barbara, California.
Goldman Sachs selected Mr. Brannan as one of 100 entrepreneurs from multiple industries to be honored at the three-day event. Goldman Sachs is recognizing Brannan among the world’s accomplished entrepreneurs who build enduring companies that reshape industries and drive progress through innovation. Brannan has a proven track record of creating and leading industry defining companies that apply disruptive new technologies to transformative markets. In the process, Brannan has consistently succeeded at building companies with world-class management teams and business ecosystems, and which deliver outsized returns to investors.
Mr. Brannan has a driving passion for improving healthcare, which is why he co-founded ClearDATA®, the leading healthcare cloud, security and compliance platform for healthcare organizations. Prior to joining ClearDATA, he founded Web.com, known as the world’s leading business domain provider, web builder and cloud platform provider. In the process, he raised $65M from top VC firms, had a successful IPO, grew annual revenue to $750 million, hired 4,000 employees and negotiated a multi-billion dollar exit. Prior to Web.com, Mr. Brannan founded Verio, which for many years was known as the world’s largest cloud hosting company. He grew Verio to $325 million in revenue, experienced a successful IPO with a $1.2B market valuation, and helped negotiate its sale for over $5 billion in cash to NTT Data. Mr. Brannan helped launch VIANet, an international version of Verio, which was valued at $3.5 billion at IPO. Mr. Brannan also honed his skills at building start-up companies while working as a venture capitalist at Norwest Venture Partners and Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co., where he sourced, invested, and helped guide a dozen start-ups that were successfully acquired or went public.
