ClearDATA Expands C-Suite Leadership with Chief Product Officer and Chief Legal Officer
Two new executives join ClearDATA to broaden healthcare security and compliance in the cloud.
AUSTIN, Texas (May 30, 2019) — ClearDATA®, a leading healthcare cloud, security and compliance expert, has named Suhas Kelkar as Chief Product Officer and Thomas McKeever as General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer to further the agility and power of cloud services for healthcare. The addition of these new roles comes at a pivotal time for ClearDATA as the company broadens its global compliance capabilities and accelerates innovation to better serve enterprise healthcare organizations including payers, providers, life sciences, global systems integrators and health technology solutions companies.

Suhas Kelkar has more than 20 years of experience architecting and building scalable enterprise applications leading large technical teams in start-up, midsize and enterprise organizations. Previously, he was the Vice President-CTO Office at BMC and during his ten-year career there he held various key roles including Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific, Vice President Application Security, Vice President Executive Briefing program and Vice President Incubation/Innovation Labs. Prior to, Suhas worked at Rational Software, Serena, Philips Medical systems and co-founded a social impact startup that won the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant. Holding seven patents in cloud computing, Suhas brings his expertise and vision to ClearDATA’s product management and product engineering teams.

The new General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, Thomas (Tom) McKeever, is relocating to Austin from Silicon Valley and brings over a decade of experience for all legal issues for start-ups, mid-sized and public technology companies such as Actuate, Shutterfly and Accela. Prior to that, Tom worked for a federal district court judge and at leading law firms Wilson Sonsini and Heller Ehrman and Sun Microsystems. Currently, he also serves as an advisor to DocMatter, the first global knowledge and discussion forum for medical professionals. Holding a J.D. degree from Stanford Law School, Tom is well-versed in balancing business with risk mitigation as a company scales.
